1. Why is this top your favorite from 7 Chic Avenue?
.. It’s the perfect mix of elegance and casualness, which can be worn with or without the black Yves silk bow. Also, taupe is one of my favorite colours!
2. When do you wear it?
.. Just recently, for example, I wore it with jeans, my silk bow and a light, grey wool coat to an opening event. At the office I like to wear it with a business suit, or very pure, without the bow, with a blazer, jeans and black loafers as a chic everyday outfit.
3. What is your favorite accessory?
.. A delicate gold ring with a big, white pearl, which was given to me as a very special gift. It suits me just perfectly.
4. What is your most important piece of make-up?
.. Concealer! It can replace a complete foundation. Closely followed by black mascara and black fluid eyeliner. Generally speaking, I prefer a kind of “no make up”-make up for my everyday look.
5. What is most important to you, when you decide what to wear? / When you choose an outfit?
.. Occasion and mood! And it can’t take too long. That is why I love dresses. With just this one piece of clothing you are dressed and ready to go. I also really like to wear a blazer, with a silk blouse or top, and jeans. This look always works for me. In the matters of shoes, I like to dress for occasion: pumps, loafer, sneaker or boots. Right now, I could wear my grey cashmere sweater everyday.
6. What is your favorite item in your wardrobe?
.. I have a black cashmere blazer coat by Max Mara Studio, which has accompanied me for 10 years already.
7. Your biggest fashion mistake?
.. In general I prefer a modern, but not to fashionable look, based on basics and classic pieces. That always works for me. Fashion mistakes… I do remember an oversized shirt in bright orange from the late 90s. It was neither my colour, nor my fit.
8. What is the first thing you check, when you look in a mirror?
.. If my mascara smudged.
9. What is your best styling advice?
.. Find out what suits you the best: what kind of fit and which colours. Use this knowledge to find good basic pieces. I like to wear nude colours, white, dark blue, black and grey. I mix my basics with one or two pieces of jewelry, most likely pearls or diamonds. More is less and quality before quantity.
10. What top are you missing in your wardrobe?
.. A simple, black, merino wool top. I used to have one, but washed it too hot. I still haven’t found a good, high-quality replacement.
